Our collective actions have the ability to slow climate change. We can do this through a concerted effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and capture atmospheric carbon in the soil. Land use, agriculture and soil carbon banking solutions have the capacity to remove more than one quarter of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere by 2050. We do this by increasing soil organic matter, localizing food production, practicing regenerative agriculture, composting and building food forests. Linkages between strategies ensure that progress in one area, quickly supports other areas.
